Valencia Ward Idol!

The other night our ward had a potluck/Kareoke night. It was pretty fun there was a lot of good food (my personal fav.). And a lot of people showed up! Our ward is pretty interesting, A WIDE variety of talents lets just leave it at that. There was a lot of songs to pick from, which was a little overwhelming, but it was nice to have a variety. Reddick brought his friend Quinn. They are sooo goofy together one minute they will be fighting and the next you won't be able to seperate them. Anyways Quinn sang B-I-N-G-O with Lela it was some funny stuff! And out of all the songs Reddick chose Teardrops on my Gutair by Taylor Swift. He didn't even know all the words so I felt bad and went up and helped him out! I didn't really sing into the microphone I just sang into his ear kinda to give him the tune.
Lela got out of paying me back $1.50 because she sang but she had some help so I don't think it counts but she is determined not to pay me back oh well! She is a pretty good singer!
William sang Your Song by Elton John for my mom and dad. He sang surprisingly well. He won best male vocals or something like that.
Sorry about the pic. The missionarys went to a thrift store and bought some STRANGE suits! They were so funny they made up a whole song.

Jon or Kate Plus 8

That is my new name for there show Jon OR Kate Plus 8! It is sad to me that they are not going to be together any more. I really feel bad for Kate but I don't know the whole story obviously nobody really does. I don't even know what to think how about you?

Reddick's Father's Day

Reddick's birthday was actually on Monday but we actually celebrated it on Father's Day Sunday. Well we had dessert on both days but he got his present (The Tale of Despreaux) on Sunday because my Dad had to go out of town. He wanted tacos for dinner and peach cobbler instead of cake UCK! Just kidding it was good. So when Reddick was a little kid he would always say he was turning seven untill he was seven and then he just kept pretending he was getting older and older. Who would have guessed? But is so strange that a year from now he will have the preisthood. It reminds me of Burr when he turned twelve and started passing the sacrament and I was so confused! They still act pretty young but they are starting to like to do more and more stuff like teenagers LOL!

POOL PARTY!

omg it was amazing. all the way there and back we were talking about how myka and dorothy were just pouting about the pool party hahaha. because we voted for either a pool party or ice skating and they wanted ice skating so they were upset so they went to the movies. but they missed out huge time! it was just the perfect amount of ppl. and a ton of friends! me, mateja, cameron, nathen, jared, dean, will, walker, and burr chilled and swam. it was pretty lame a lot of them weren't comfy in the water so we stayed close to walls or towards the shallow end but its all good. they had this diving brick. i could get it and bring it up to the top but it was too heavy that i couldn't keep above the water while holding it lol. it was great! and the food was yummy and Cayle (i dont think thats how u spell it but yeah oh well) she loved swimming with me and mateja and on the ride back she made us sit on either side of her. she is such a cute little girl! her floaties were sooooo cute! yeah then we went to sonic and that was yummy! all and all....nothin was wrong with that pool party and i had an amazing time!!!!

THE PROPOSAL

I went to the movies last night with William and my friend Myka to go see The Proposal! I love it. It was so funny! I had waited all week until Friday so I could go see it. I was so excited Friday morning because it was the day I was going to go see the movie. I was relieved to find out that Myka was excited just as much as I was! After the movie we went to go get some Frutista Freeze drink that William loves from Taco Bell. They were so good. So Myka and I were trying to quote the funny lines from the movie but the whole movie was funny so we had to try to remember every line from the movie! We might have to go see it again on Monday!

In order to go see this movie Myka and I had to skip the Stake Pool Party activity! I was so not heart broken. But Lela said she had a blast so maybe she will post about it!

Organization is the Key!

The other day in chemistry lab I was putting my bags and everything in a drawer because you are not supposed to have anything out in the working area. I decided that my all my stuff would fit inside the drawer instead of putting it in a cabinet. Don't worry it all fit untill I put my binder on top of my goggles in the drawer. So I shut the drawer and realized I needed some paper so I go to open it and my binder is wedge in there between this little ledge from the counter. Now Lela is telling me all this crap because I need to get my phone but I was way more worried about my chemistry work. Now what does that say about us? Anyways my friend Josh was trying to pull the drawer out so it wouldn't be stuck but he didn't realize my binder was in there and so now my binder is all bent and broken around the edges. We finally had to ask this teacher to help us get it out. So if you ever need any organizing done ask LELA not me!

Temple Trip!!!!

So on Thursday we had a ward temple trip. I was so excited I was going to take pictures of the outside of the temple and everything and then I got inside and a young women in our ward that had just got baptized was there! My leader Sister Parker wanted to take a picture of us in the waiting room so we took a couple of pictures. Then one of the workers came and told me that I could not have a camera and that I had to delete the pictures. I was fine with it but I felt so embarassed I thought I could at least take pictures in the waiting room. Guess not! But I love going to the temple none the less. I also love going to the temple because we go out to eat afterwards! LOL! We went to Subway this time cuz there was such a small group usually we just go to Dairy Queen. My friends and I went to both anyways!
William did not go, that lazy boy! JK he was cleaning up horse poop! I would much rather go to the temple!
This is Burr and his friend James! They are so cute because they are our only deacons and they are so SHORT!
These are the girls that went! Notice that we are outside the temple! lol! The girl in blue just got baptized!

ART!!

So we got a bunch a paintings from this lady who works for the subdivision that decorates the model homes. Well, they didn't need them any more so they were selling them. My mom got three amazing paints that I love!! Then I also bought one that is AMAZING!! here are some pics of them....they look better in person though.

Little Fish. BIG Pond!

So today was our first day of COLLEGE! SCARY! We are taking a chemistry class at UNM Valencia Campus so we don't have to deal with the STUPID-EST teacher at our school! Anyways our proffesor is form PO-LAND and his accent makes the class a tad interesting. We did have one friend in the class but then she had to go to a different class because ours was too big! SAD! So here we are in the midsts of a bunch of medical students and we just want a high school credit to get ahead in school. Our lab time is pretty fun though it is like the second part of our class after lunch and I hope we will do a lot of hands on activities. Today we made a GOLD penny! All in all the class will be fine but it is a little intimidating going into a class with a bunch of COLLEGE aged students.

GIRLS CAMP

So this year I went to girls camp but Lela did not! It was so much fun but my camera died on the first day so I only got a few pictures. My ward was assigined to Choice and Accountability and our stake theme was HEROS (Heavenly Eternal Righeous Obedient Sisters). My ward chose to be cars. Although there are a lot of girls in the picture 4 of them left and 1 was a junior leader so we only had 4 girls sleeping in our 8 man tent. I was so happy I went because I was thinking about not going but it was such a good experience and I love being with the girls from my ward!
